'iPhone 6 Plus is prone to bend in your pocket', Is it true?

Few days back technology website was full of article saying iPhone 6 Plus gets bend in the pocket and it also showed various pictures and videos of bend iPhone 6 Plus.

So does it mean that iPhone 6 plus is poorly designed iPhone??

No, It is now. iPhone 6 plus is a very strong phone made of steel and titanium and it has passed various tests in the lab before it was released to the public. Here are some of the images.

Apple says the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are the most tested of any generation to date. The company went through 15,000 iPhone 6 and 15,000 iPhone 6 Plus devices just for testing. "The iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus are the most tested," said Dan Riccio, Apple's senior vice president of hardware engineering. "As we add more and more features, we have to find out a way to break them before customers do."

Apple pointed to 25 kilograms as the amount of weight Apple puts on top of the iPhone's screen to test it for the bends. That's not the full amount of weight the phone can take, says Riccio. Just what it can handle while being capable of "bouncing back" to its original form.

In addition to that test there are numerous others, including a "sit test" that simulates the stress an iPhone goes under while in your pocket. There's a test for when people sit on a soft surface and for a "worst-case scenario", when it's placed in the rear pocket of skinny jeans and sits on a hard surface, at an angle.

Apple also does a torsion test, that tests the phone when twisted from one end to the other.

"As we expected, it’s extremely rare to happen in real world use," says Schiller. "In this case, as in many things, we tell customers that if you think something's occurred that shouldn't have with your device, go to Apple Care, go to the Genius Bar, and let them take a look at it. And we'll see if your product is having an experience it shouldn't have, and is covered under warranty."

So You can buy the new iPhone 6 Plus without tension. Till now total of 9 iPhones are reported bend in the apple care out of 10 Million + iPhone 6 plus.

How to update your iOS device when you don't have much free space on your device?

Apple released iOS 8 on 17th Sept. but lot of people face problem before downloading update on their device because they don't have much space left in their device, which forces them to delete their aaps to make space for the download.

Before we look into the solution let as know why apple update requires 4-5 GB of space on your device when the update file size is only 900 MB or 1 GB.

This is because the update file is in compressed form. After the download gets over the device extract the compressed file which require 4-5 GB of space. But don't worry you don't loose your user usable space on your device. After update is complete you get your space back.

So how to update phone without deleting your existing apps??

Here is the solution,

Step 1: Go to the iTunes apps on your Mac or Pc. (Your laptop must have latest version of iTunes. If               you don't have latest iTunes then first update your iTunes)

Step 2: Connect your device to the laptop and wait for iTunes to recognize your device.

Step 3: iTunes will prompt you automatically for the update of your phone. If it doesn't then then                     press 'Check for update' on the summary screen of the iTunes.

Step 4: Enjoy your update.

Here the iTunes extract the compressed file on your laptop so it doesn't require much of free space on your device. But remember to keep at lease 1 GB free space on your device before proceeding for the update. for any doubt and query comment down below.

How to transfer contacts from android to iOS?

Everyone changes their phone in 2-3 years and the real pain comes when we think about our contacts. How to transfer my contacts from old device to the new one.

Transferring contact between same operating system is not a problem because you can create a back up for your device and restore the same in your new device with the back up.

But how to transfer contacts when you are moving from android, Blackberry and windows to iOS and vice-versa.

So here is the most simple steps to transfer the contacts:

Step 1: Go to google play/App world/windows app store on your old device and download the app                 called NQ Security or NQ Contact Sync (NQ Stand for 'NetQin')

Step 2: Open a account in the app with your email id. (Don't forget your username and password)

Step 3: In the app you will find contact back up. So drag up in the cloud or press back up button for                 back up. Now your Contact in stored in the cloud.

Step 4: Now download the same app in your new device and just log in using same id and password                that you created on your old device.

Step 5: In the app you will find restore option. So drag down from cloud or press restore button and                you are done.

So with NQ Contact sync you can transfer contact from one device to other seamlessly. Your contact remains in the cloud permanently, just don't forget id and password.

Here I am posting pictures of the app so it will be easier for you to identify the app. The user interface may differ in different operating system.

Tim Cook on new Product

Tim Cook in an interview with Charlie Rose said "Apple is working on a product which is not being rumoured yet".

What that product can be??
According to me it is a 'Car' or a 'Robot'.

I also think apple can make something related to shopping. An application to change the way we do shopping.

What do you think guys?? Leave your comments below.

Does Megapixel on your phone decide the image quality??

No!!!!!
Lots of people think that the more megapixel on their phone will give them a better pictures.
But the truth is different. Megapixel is not the only factor.

Before we move forward let us see What is Megapixel and its role on your camera??

Answer: Megapixel is nothing but the size of the photo that is taken. Megapixel stands for 'Million pixel'. So 5MP camera means 5 million pixels. So when you look a photo on your phone screen you won't find any much difference on the pic. For example a picture taken on Nokia 41 MP and on any other phone say iPhone 5S or HTC one will similar on your phone. The minor difference that you will notice that is not because of the megapixel of the phone but because of the other factors like pixel size and aperture of the lens.

So now what is Pixel size??

Pixel is on which the light through the lens reflect. If the Pixel is small that it will capture low light and leading to poor quality image and lots of noise.. where as large pixel means it will pick up more light which lead to more accurate image.

Lets Know about Aperture.

Simply, aperture is a hole within a lens, through which light travels into the camera body. It is easier to understand the concept if you just think about our eyes. Every camera that we know of today is designed like human eyes. The cornea in our eyes is like the front element of a lens – it gathers all external light, then bends it and passes it to the iris. Depending on the amount of light, the iris can either expand or shrink, controlling the size of the pupil, which is a hole that lets the light pass further into the eye. The pupil is essentially what we refer to as aperture in photography. The amount of light that enters the retina (which works just like the camera sensor), is limited to the size of the pupil – the larger the pupil, the more light enters the retina.

Size Of The Aperture

The iris of the lens that controls the size (diameter) of the aperture is called “diaphragm” in optics. The sole purpose of the diaphragm is to block or stop all light, with the exception of the light that goes through the aperture. In photography, aperture is expressed in f-numbers (for example f/5.6). These f-numbers that are known as “f-stops” are a way of describing the size of the aperture, or how open or closed the aperture is. A smaller f-stop means a larger aperture, while a larger f-stop means a smaller aperture. Most people find this awkward, since we are used to having larger numbers represent larger values, but not in this case. For example, f/1.4 is larger than f/2.0 and much larger than f/8.0.

The Number Game On The Smart Phones

These are the Processors of popular smart phones.

 iPhone 5S
 Samsung Galaxy S4
 HTC One
 LG Nexus 4
 Apple A7, 1.3 GHz Dual-Core
 Samsung Exynox 5 Octa 5410, 1.6 GHz Quad-Core
 Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, 1.7 GHz Quad-Core
 Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, 1.5 GHz Quad-Core

Here if I ask anyone to rank these Phones according to their processing speed the results would be as follows:

Rank 1: HTC one
Rank 2: Samsung Galaxy S4
Rank 3: LG Nexus 4
Rank 4: iPhone 5S

But the actual result is shocking. The research and benchmark test shows something opposite.

According to Different types of Benchmark test the results are as follows:

1. Geekbench 3.0 Test: (Higher the better)

2. GFXbench Test: (Higher the better)

3. Sunspider Test (Lower the Better)

Conclusion:

Don't run behind numbers written on processors, the reality is totally different than you think. Bigger number doesn't mean faster processors. The processing power depends on the other factors too. How efficiently the software uses it hardware. The built quality of apple can never be compared to any other phone in the market. The apple hardware and software are designed to work seamlessly together and work efficiently whereas, in android the things are quite different. One software is designed to run on different types of hardware. It is like making on size of shoe for the whole world.
